Our Expertise

We’d like to introduce some key members of the NISG senior management team.
Andy Robertson, Director
Andy joined NISG as Director in July 2008. He has 30 years of IT-related experience in the electronics, computing, telecommunications, insurance and professional services industries in the UK and United States.  This includes 22 years with Hewlett-Packard and the Agilent Technologies spin-off business where he had various IT and business management roles, mainly on large scale projects and programmes focused on service, process and organisational change. He has an applications programming and project management background but has spent most of his career working with the consumers and customers of IT services, pursuing business improvement through the effective implementation of new processes and technologies.

Andy reports to the NSS Chief Executive and has overall responsibility for the effective running of NISG. This includes the development of strategy, objectives and ensuring the effective integration of the NISG service offering with the broad set of customer and stakeholder interests across NHSScotland. Andy sits on the national eHealth Programme Board, is an active participant in the national eHealth Leads forum and is an advisor to the NSS based Health Informatics Group.
